First, turn on all power buttons.

Even though you will not see a dynamic view of your Output number on the video switcher you must push the OUTPUT 1 and 2 buttons FIRST to be able to pick your INPUT type.

•  To only View a movie on the viewing monitor---OUTPUT 1 (Viewing Monitor)

•  Press the OUTPUT 1 Button on the video switcher

•  Next Press the Input 1 Button if you are playing a VHS tape

OR Press the Input 2 Button if you are playing a DV or mini DV tape

•  To Capture your movie and make it a digital movie -- OUTPUT 2 (Computer Monitor)

•  Press the Output 2 Button on the video switcher

•  Then press the Input 1 button to capture a VHS tape

OR Press the Input 2 button to capture a DV/MiniDV

The Input number possibilities will show in the * LCD window are as follows:

* These numbers will be seen in the LCD window on the Video switcher.

 
*  1 1 - you are Viewing a VHS movie and Capturing that VHS movie
*  1 2 - you are Viewing a VHS movie and Capturing a DV/miniDV
*  2 1 - you are Viewing a DV/miniDV and Capturing a VHS movie
*  2 2 - you are Viewing the DV/miniDV and Capturing the DV/miniDV
