  Biography:

I am a native Kansan, and have served on the music faculty at SPC since 1996; I have been teaching piano for over 25 years.  I completed post graduate work at the Conservatory of Music, University of Missouri in Kansas City, where I studied piano with Richard Cass.  I hold a MM in Piano Performance, with emphasis in Piano Pedagogy from Wichita State University.  I earned a BM degree in Piano Performance, magna cum laude, from WSU.  I am a graduate of Grace College of the Bible, Omaha, Nebraska.  I served on the faculty at Calvary Bible College, Kansas City, Missouri, for ten years, and, in addition to teaching piano, organ, and music theory, performed as soloist and accompanist in recitals at the college and in the Kansas City area.  Since moving to Florida in 1985, I have continued to perform as piano soloist, accompanist, and church organist.  In 1992, I was a member of the Veteran's Administration National Medical Group Orchestra for their concert tour to Russia, which included concerts in Moscow and at St. Petersburg's Glinka Capella.  I am keyboardist for the Tampa Bay Symphony and also a member of the Pinellas Park Civic Orchestra.  I am staff accompanist/organist at Faith Covenant Church, St. Petersburg.  I maintain an active private piano studio, with students ranging in age from 4 years to 80 years old.
