I am a life long learner as you can see from my educational background.  In 1980, I received my dental degree from the University of Florida and practiced general dentistry for several years.  I returned to school to complete a masters degrees in Materials Science and Engineering  from the University of Florida, College of Engineering(1992) and a masters degree in Oral Biology from the University of Florida, College of Medicine(1995). In 2007, I completed a Ph.D in Educational Leadership and Policy with a specialization in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Florida, College of Education.

Teaching is my passion and I have been in the classroom since 1992.

My teaching philosophy is student-centered and I want every student to learn by actively partcipating and getting involved.  I give the student the information and resources that they need to succeed.  I can sum up my philosphy by saying," Students do not care how much you know until they know how much you care."

My interests are computers, guitars, water sports and family.
