I came to St. Petersburg College in January of 1981 as a student teacher through an internship set up by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I returned to Florida in August of the same year as a full-time instructor in the Dental Hygiene Program. I believe I have a true passion for teaching and for dental hygiene.

Although my teaching responsibilities for the college are few, I enjoy each and every minute of watching students learn and grow. I am currently the Dean of the College of Health Sciences at the Health Education Center. I over see the Orthotics and Prosthetics Program, both dental hygiene programs, and the Health Services Administration program.

In addition to my professional life, I am a wife and mother of two adult children. I enjoy computers, reading and travel in my limited spare time!
