  Biography:

Sheryl S. Peterson received her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Anna Maria College in Paxton, MA and is currently working on her Doctorate from University of South Florida. She has been associated with St. Petersburg College since 1981, when she left teaching psychology to become the counselor of Project Support. She then became the coordinator of the Telecommunications Program of Open Campus until August 1989. At this time she became a member of St. Petersburg College’s Social Sciences faculty, and then, in 1996, became Program Director of Social and Behavioral Science on St. Pete/Gibbs Campus, until recently, when she moved to Seminole's eCampus to become a fulltime online instructor. Ms. Peterson is a graduate of Leadership St. Petersburg , received an award from St. Petersburg College for excellence in the Dual Credit Program and an award from PBS for Outstanding Program Development and has been listed in Outstanding Young Woman in America and in Who's Who in America. She has also served on the advisory committee for the making of several telecourses in conjunction with Coast Community College in Los Angeles, California.
