I was born in Idaho and raised in Atlanta. I attended Florida State University and received a Master of Accountancy. I started teaching at Chipola Junior College in 1966 and then moved to St. Petersburg College in 1968. In 1970 I left the college and worked for a national public accounting firm and then left to work for a client. In 1973 I was presented with the opportunity to return to teaching and I have been at SPC ever since. At SPC I have taught accounting and computer programming during the past 30+ years, teaching about the same amount of both over the years. My family includes 3 children, 2 girls (Erin & Laura) and 1 boy (Kevin). My hobby is working with John Kurnik, another instructor, while he builds his house. He's a great instructor and a master builder. Be sure you take a class from him.
