I received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics at Fort Valley State University in 1989. I just recently completed my masters and specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction in Adult Education at University of Phoenix 2008. My teaching experiences have been and continue to be rewarding. I have been teaching middle school students for 18 years. I currently teach Algebra and Geometry to 8th graders. I have also been teaching math as an Adjunct Professor at SPC for about 10 years.

I believe that all students of all ages can learn, but in different ways. My goal is to create learning experiences that engage the student both in and out of the classroom. Students should come to class, learn something new, work with their classmates to form a better picture of the concept in their mind, and then find places in their life where the ideas are real and apparent.
