Teaching Philosophy: My teaching philosophy incorporates experiential strategies and methods that expand learning while promoting critical thinking. I advocate exploring controversial topics and subjects to dispel myths and identify facts. Searching for truth can be difficult; however cowardice and controversy are often products of ignorance. Enlightenment and peace are often rewards of education and justice. I look forward to seeing you in class or chatting with you via my on-line course forum.

Favorite Quotes:

"True peace is not merely the absence of tension; it is the presence of justice." - Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

"It is not the style of clothes one wears, neither the kind of automobile one drives, nor the amount of money one has in the bank, that counts. These mean nothing. It is simply service that measures success."  - George Washington Carver
