Dr. Paul A. Hatchett, Jr.  joined St. Petersburg College September 13, 2004.

He began his teaching career in higher education at Fort Valley State University as member of the faculty in the Department of Business Administration and Economics. He taught Finance, Business law, Investment Analysis, Risk and Insurance, and Real Estate. He soon received tenured faculty status and began to concentrate on student learning and methods for assessing learning outcomes. 

He is a graduate of Clearwater High School 1975, Mercer University 1980 & 1983, and Widener School of Law 1992.  He has earned the, Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance, Master in Business Administration in Finance, and earned the Juris Doctor of Law. He has received numerous honors for teaching excellence; yet he relies greater in the honor of liberty which is shared by a larger learning community of students, teachers, staff, administrators, parents, family, and friends
