  Biography:

I have been teaching at the college level since 1990.  I obtained a bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Rockhurst College in 1981 and a doctoral degree in Physical Chemistry from the University of Florida in 1987.   My dissertation dealt with theoretical quantum chemistry and my research has primarily involved computer simulations of processes within dynamic systems.  The dynamic systems I have studied have included  fusion reactions as well as atmospheric chemical reactions such as those leading to the formation of the ozone hole.

Before coming to St Petersburg College I taught in the science department at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.  I have taught all of the chemistry offerings at the Tarpon Campus and I periodically teach the General Physics sequence as well.  I enjoy teaching here at Tarpon and helping students discover the fascinating world of physical science.
