Using the ANGEL Repository for Collaborate Course Design
The ability to add and contribute content to a subject specific resource area within ANGEL can provide students with enhanced learning experiences. Participants will be introduced to example ANGEL Repositories that contain a rich resource of content that were created in a collaborative fashion. They then will have the opportunity to learn how to add, contribute, and link to these resources. |
Using Technology to Engage Students in Critical Thinking
Whether teaching online or face-to face, technology can be used by both instructors and students to support critical thinking. This interactive session will focus on connecting technology to four specific instructional strategies: Scenarios/Problem-Based Learning, Case Studies, Small Group Discussions, and Active Lectures. |
Instructional Portfolios
An instructional portfolio is an electronic model for documenting and sharing successful teaching practices. It provides concise details of teaching practices and activities, and aligns them with course learning outcomes. The portfolio also provides opportunities for reflection and peer collaboration. Instructional portfolios are included as part of the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP). This session will focus on the steps for creating an instructional portfolio, with a strong emphasis on enhancing student learning through critical thinking. Participants will learn how to use current technology to develop their own instructional portfolios. |
