Adding a Folder for Organization - Basic View Information
As the primary tab for course content, the Lessons tab can include both a high volume and a wide assortment of items, such as assignment guidelines, quizzes, lecture notes, message boards, and more. One way to manage your course content effectively in this area is to use folders. Content can be nested within folders or subfolders.
NOTE - ANGEL provides context sensitive help in many places. Notice that the words Title, Subtitle, etc. are linked. If you click on any of these words, ANGEL will provide help about these items.

Type additional information in the optional ‘Subtitle’ textbox to provide the student with a more specific description of concepts and topics covered under the Lessons tab. NOTE - Unless you specify your system preferences, you will be adding a page in the normal or beginning view. Please review the tutorial on the Common Lessons item settings.

6. The Tracking drop-down menu specifies how the system will track access to the Lessons content item. Choosing Disabled turns off tracking to the item. Choosing one of the other tracking options specifies who will be tracked. In most cases you want the content within the folder to be tracked not the folder itself.

7. The View Restrictions section contains a checkbox that allows the instructor to temporarily hide the Lessons content item. This option is useful for hiding content items that are “under construction” or for restricting student access to completed Lessons items until a future date. Hidden Lessons content items remain accessible to course editors but are designated hidden by a partially transparent icon.
