If the student informs you that the locked content is not open, one main reason for this is the instructor placed a different password on the SSI from the locked content. NOTE - It is not possible to see the results of a survey submission but it is possible to determine of the student has taken the survey within ANGEL.

If this occurs, follow the steps below to open the content for the student:

Part I - Determine that the student has taken the SSI Survey

1. Click on the Utilities link underneath the Student of Survey of Instruction.

Click Utilities Link

2. Click the View, Grade or Delete Submissions Link.

Click View, Grade or Delete Submssions

3. Look through the list of submissions and determine if the student has taken the SSI survey. NOTE - If you click on the User ID link, it will sort the list by username making it easier to find the student's name.

View Submissions

4. If the student is not on the list, they did not take the survey. In this case, there are a couple possibilities to fix this problem. First, if the survey availability time is still open, tell the student the take the survey. Second, if the survey availability time is past, then go on to Part II to learn how to open the locked content for the student. Finally, it is possible that ANGEL did not place the password into the student's environmental variable area. Please proceed to Part II to learn how to open up the content for the student.
