| What got you interested in developing learning objects? |
| |
The on-line environment has colossal potential to positively impact learning if the tools are available. I don't think there are an adequate amount of accessible as well as useful learning objects to fulfill all the varied needs. My interest in developing learning objects was sparked by my endless, often fruitless searches for learning objects to help student nurses grasp concepts essential to pediatric nursing. |
|
| How are you going to use the learning objects created in your courses? |
| |
The objects will be used for "student learning self-assessment" of particular concepts germane to pediatric nursing. |
|
| Have you gotten any feedback from your students about the learning objects you have placed in your courses? |
| |
I have used other learning objects and I usually get very positive feedback from students. |
|
| What do you feel are the benefits of using learning objects in your courses? |
| |
- easily modifiable to meet changing needs
- interactivity
- repetition
- low environmental impact (less need for paper)
|
|
| What other objects are you planning to help develop in the future? |
| |
I have a couple of other ideas trapped in the fissures of my brain trying to get out. |
